Welcome to the official site of The Ohio Asylum of Research. Throughout the United States there can be found numerous Lodges of Research. In the state of Ohio there are the following research bodies: The Ohio Lodge of Research, Chapter of Research, and the Council of Research and Development. However, there has never been a Commandery of Research dedicated to the study of everything regarding Templary. There is only one other in existence that we are aware of. It is our hope that The Ohio Asylum of Research will become the second in the world.
Our purpose is to study every facet of Templary. We will be meeting four times a year at various Commanderies on the fifth Saturday of the month. We will have a progressive officer line just as any other Commandery.
How does one become a member? Any Sir Knight in good standing may fill out the petition below and return it to the address on the bottom of the petition with the appropriate fee. Every member will have access to all papers published, a copy of the Proceedings, and access to our newsgroup.
We have a lot of interesting things coming up in the near future for the website. Below is a glimpse of just a few items:
